Jet Set to Vancouver!
/My first time going to Canada, and it was to travel to Vancouver! Vancouver has to be one of my favorite city so far. It has such a great mixture of city life and nature. What makes Vancouver so cool is that there are so many different types of towns to explore in Vancouver. I made sure to hit up each of these areas during my stay.
Lodging
I always try to stay in the main city, or areas with lots of trendy restaurants and bars for me to explore. I decided to settle in Yaletown. It’s a very hip and chic area of Vancouver filled with shopping, bars, and fun restaurants. Also, Yaletown is pretty central for me to explore other towns in the area, and to do our hike.
I like to compare airbnb lodging prices to hotels in the same area. In this case the airbnb costs in the city area of Vancouver is pretty similar to the 4-5 star hotels in the area. I decided to use hotwire, my go to hotel website to find deals on good hotels in the area I want.
Yaletown
Granville Island
Next stop was to explore Granville Island. This area is popular for being on the harbor near different seafood restaurants, local art studios, and a local public market. If you want to find unique paintings, and cool souvenirs, this area is definitely your stop. I actually bought 2 pieces of artwork shown below!
Gastown
Gastown is Vancouver’s oldest neighborhood. The architecture here is definitely different than downtown Vancouver. Older buildings, cobblestone roads, and a vintage steam clock that’s so popular there.
Airbnb Experience: Capilano Canyon Hidden Gem Tour
I LOVE using airbnb experience! Everywhere I go I try to look up what difference experiences are offered on Airbnb. It’s basically like a personal tour guide on any activity that interests you. It can range from biking around town, kayaking, or hiking. Since Vancouver is known for their hikes, I figured it was best to have a local show us around on the different hikes.

I can’t wait to be back to Vancouver to do even more things I didn’t have time to do. Until next time!
